Dr. Joseph S. Lee is a board-eligible radiation oncologist with extensive training in advanced radiation therapies, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for prostate and gynecologic cancers, and Linac-based Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). He also has expertise in Partial Breast Irradiation, Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) for breast cancer, and CT simulation with 4-D gating.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Lee went on to complete both his medical degree and doctorate in neuroscience at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, followed by a residency in radiation oncology at William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Lee believes in providing patient-centered care that is personalized, compassionate and grounded in evidence-based medicine. He is committed to guiding patients through each stage of their cancer journey, taking the time to listen to their concerns and build trust through clear, supportive communication.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his energetic Labradoodle, Teddy, and stays active by playing racket sports such as tennis, pickleball, and ping pong.
Dr. Lee will be practicing out of our Gwinnett location, opening in 2026.
