About Song-Chu “Arthur” Ko, MD
Dr. Song-Chu “Arthur” Ko wanted to be an oncologist since elementary school in Seoul, Korea and even wrote in a yearbook that he wanted to grow up and cure cancer. Dr. Ko is board-certified in radiation oncology, treating a wide array of cancers. He specializes in the full spectrum of radiation therapy procedures, including deep inspiration breast hold technique for breast cancers, prostate seed implantation, intensity modulated radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, LINAC-based stereotactic radiosurgery and others.
Dr. Ko loves combining his backgrounds in physics and cancer biology, as well as the technical challenges each patient brings. He believes patients and doctors should be equal partners in health care decision-making and by encouraging his patients to take more active roles in their care they can achieve better outcomes.
When he’s not working, Dr. Ko enjoys running, saltwater fishing, mountain biking and reading.
Dr. Ko practices out of our Macon office.
